Our DECEMber Mission collections:

  • Guilderland Food Pantry -
    Paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, cooking oil

  • Schenectady Community Ministries (SiCM) Food Pantry -
    Always needed items: Shelf-stable milk, soy, evaporated, canned soups, canned fruit, applesauce, quinoa, canned beans, canned tuna, brown rice, 100% fruit juices, tomato sauce, whole wheat pasta, canned veggies.

  • City Mission - the Christmas Giving Tree in the Fellowship Center is ready to be decorated with your gifts of children’s mittens, hats, scarves; and adult scarves and socks.

We are grateful that so many organizations in the capital region of New York are doing good work and we have the opportunity to partner with them. Here are some of the organizations we work with and ways you can participate in this good work: 

City Mission of Schenectady

  • Serve dinner at City Mission’s dining hall 5-6 times a year, usually Wednesday evenings,
    5 - 6:30 p.m.

  • Coat, mitten, shoe, and clothing drives

  • Toy collection for the Christmas Toy Store

CROP Walk to benefit Church World Service disaster/hunger relief

Schenectady Community Ministries (SiCM)

  • Youth Summer Internships at Schenectady Community Ministries (Lynnwood financially supports up to two college youth in this very unique summer “job” helping at SiCM)

  • Schenectady Summer Lunch Program – serve lunches to children at Schenectady parks

  • Baby food drive in October

Bethesda House in Schenectady

  • Coat and warm winter clothing drive

Fostering Futures

  • Coordinate care for foster parents

Habitat For Humanity

  • Construction projects

Project Angel Tree

  • Christmas gifts for local children from parent(s) in prison
