Our SUMMER Mission collections:

Guilderland Food Pantry -
July 29:
Since our call to Guilderland residents resulted in 3,000 lbs of food delivered, we do not need a thing this month. However if you could request egg cartons that would be wonderful! 
We have no crates as of this moment. Have a great month!!

Schenectady Community Ministries (SiCM) Food Pantry -
Food Items:
Canned spaghetti sauce, Canned tuna, Boxed macaroni & cheese, Canned soups, Instant potatoes, Rice, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Boxes of oatmeal
Please check that contributions are within their expiration date. Please no glass or breakable packaging.
We are also collecting your homegrown produce each Sunday. You can find the collection box near the coatroom.

Personal Items:Travel-sized deodorant (for men & women), Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Small shampoos, Toilet paper

We are grateful that so many organizations in the capital region of New York are doing good work and we have the opportunity to partner with them. Here are some of the organizations we work with and ways you can participate in this good work: 

City Mission of Schenectady

  • Serve dinner at City Mission’s dining hall 5-6 times a year, usually Wednesday evenings,
    5 - 6:30 p.m.

  • Coat, mitten, shoe, and clothing drives

  • Toy collection for the Christmas Toy Store

CROP Walk to benefit Church World Service disaster/hunger relief

Schenectady Community Ministries (SiCM)

  • Youth Summer Internships at Schenectady Community Ministries (Lynnwood financially supports up to two college youth in this very unique summer “job” helping at SiCM)

  • Schenectady Summer Lunch Program – serve lunches to children at Schenectady parks

  • Baby food drive in October

Bethesda House in Schenectady

  • Coat and warm winter clothing drive

Fostering Futures

  • Coordinate care for foster parents

Habitat For Humanity

  • Construction projects

Project Angel Tree

  • Christmas gifts for local children from parent(s) in prison
